Djailoo tour, exploring the vast plains, beautiful green pastures, mountain gorges, and passes of Kyrgyzstan during an 11-day journey, is a real adventure to discover gorgeous nature and become a nomad escaping from high-tech nets. Flight to Bishkek, the greenest capital city in Central Asia.
Arrival at Bishkek International Airport.
Migration formalities usually take 20 min to 60 min: visa/passport control and baggage claim. Come out of the terminal and meet the staff holding a sign “ANUR TOUR” or with your name on it.
Transfer to the hotel. As Bishkek airport not far from the city center, the transfer will not take a long time (about 40 minutes depending on the hotel location).
Arrival at the hotel. Drop off the baggage. Check-in.
Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 Start Bishkek sightseeing tour visiting:
- Ala Archa Natural park (~35 km from Bishkek, ~ 40min)
Take an easy walk high up to observe the view of mountains and rich Kyrgyz nature, spot birds and animals living their lives, and watch how the cold water of Kyrgyz rivers falls down the mountains and continues its way among ancient trees and gorges.
Time to explore the area, take photos, and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful nature views.
Transfer back to Bishkek.
Start a walking city tour around Bishkek, visiting:
- Oak Park, the city center. It is also known as Dubovy Park; today it is one of the favorite places among locals and tourists in Bishkek.
- Ala-Too Square is the central square in Bishkek. It serves as a place for state events and celebrations. Philharmonic Hall – situated at the top of Rose Alley.
- Statue of Manas (Manas is a legendary Kyrgyz hero and the classic centerpiece of Kyrgyz literature).
- Victory Square, where one can see the Victory monument, a memorial completed in 1984. Usually, the main festival events are held in Bishkek at the eternal flame on Victory Square with the guard of honor, forces of the Kyrgyz garrison, and a military band.
- State History Museum is a perfect display of the Kyrgyz people and the history of the country of Kyrgyzstan.
- Visit the colorful central bazaar and TSUM (Department Store).
Transfer to the hotel.
Rest in the evening. Overnight at the hotel.
Transfer to Kochkor village (220 km) with sightseeing en route, visiting:
- Burana Tower, the vertical dominant of the ancient city of Balasagun, the northern capital of the Turkic linguistic state of the Karakhanids, and the small nearby museum with its collection of ancient bal-bals, carved stone figures used as monuments.
Lunch at the local restaurant.
Arrival in Kochkor
- Kochkor village is famous as a felt-making center. The local people make felt carpets, embroidery, and various beautiful handicraft items.
It's a unique chance to take part in a felt-making master class or so-called "shyrdak" show, where visitors are welcome to observe the process of felt carpet weaving, make their own felt rugs, and learn more about the felt-making traditions.
Resting time in the evening.
Enjoy a delicious dinner and overnight at the local family home.
09:00 Start horse-back riding to Irizuu Valley over the hills.
The road passes high in the mountains via Buchuk Pass (3400 m high).
Easy hiking, nature watching, and photo stops en route.
Picnic lunch.
Continue to Djailoo Cook, which is situated in a mountain place of breathtaking beauty.
Arrival in Djailoo; have a tea break.
Resting time in the evening.
Traditional dinner and overnight in the yurt.
08:00 Start horse-back riding, passing Kuch Bel.
The road passes through a mountainous area, offering a perfect view of the surrounding snow-covered mountain ranges and some neighboring valleys.
From there, start getting up to the pass, then descend through a gorge formed by a small mountain river.
After the descent, take a short rest on a small elevation on the slope, where there are some rocks in the back.
Picnic lunch.
Arrival in Djailoo Koldosuu in the afternoon, where the local family welcomes you with tea and kumyz.
Traditional dinner and overnight in the yurt.
08:00 Start horse-back riding to the hills and small passes to Djailoo Kilemche.
Easy riding tour en route, enjoying a variety of mountain gorges.
At the Djailoo Kilemche crossing a river and continue riding up to our last mountain pass.
Picnic lunch on a beautiful pasture, and take some rest.
At the top, enjoy the panoramic view of Son Kul (3016 m), a stunningly beautiful lake in the middle of green hills. We can have a rest in a yurt with some tea and a snack.
In the late afternoon, continue to the east of the lake for the last yurt stay.
Traditional dinner and overnight in the yurt.
09:00 Transfer to Bishkek with photo stops en route.
Lunch in a local café.
Arrival in Bishkek in the late afternoon.
Dinner in a local restaurant with folklore performance.
The musicians in traditional Kyrgyz costumes present you with a wide range of national musical instruments– starting from Komuz (a three-stringed wooden musical instrument) to Chopo Choi (a wind instrument made of mountain reed). Enjoy the fascinating singing of young Kyrgyz ladies and men.
Transfer to the hotel.
Resting time in the evening. Overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Manas International Airport.
Morning departure flight from Bishkek.
End of the tour.
