Arrival in Bishkek. Transfer to a guest house.
Sightseeing: Oak Park - city center. It is known also as Dubovy Park. Today it is one of the favorite places among tourists in Bishkek.
Ala -Too Square is the central square in Bishkek. The square serves as a place for state events and celebrations. In 2008, it was the site of a memorial ceremony for world-renowned Kyrgyz writer Chinghiz Aitmatov.
Philarmonic hall – situated at the top of Rose Alley.
Statue of Manas (Manas, the legendary Kyrgyz hero of a thousand years ago.) Manas is the classic centerpiece of Kyrgyz literature, and parts of it are often recited at Kyrgyz festivities by specialists in the epic, called Manaschi.
Victory Square. In the centre of Victory Square stands the Victory monument, a memorial which was completed in 1984. Usually the main festival events are held in Bishkek at eternal flame, on Victory Square, where is posted guard of honor, forces of Kyrgyz garrison and a military band.
State History museum is located at the Ala-Too Square. Historical Museum Bishkek is a perfect display of the Kyrgyz people and the history of the country of Kyrgyzstan. The Historical Museum Bishkek is considered as one of the most impressive historical museums of the country as it displays the entire history of the Kyrgyz from their nomadic living to the 1940’s war. The State Historical Museum of Bishkek is a museum worth visiting both by tourists as well as natives.
Overnight in a guest house.
In the morning transfer to Issyk-Kul Lake ( 260 km ). En route visit to Burana tower, which marks the original site of the Karakhanid town, Balasagun. The entire site, including the mausoleums, castle foundations and grave markers, now functions as museum and there is a small building on the site containing historical information as well as artifacts found at the site and in the surrounding region.
Continue driving to Issyk-Kul. Arrival to Issyk-Kul, accommodation in a guest house on the North Shore of Issyk-Kul Lake.
Issik Kul is one of the most wonderful lakes of the world, located in the north-eastern part of the Kyrgyz Republic. Issik Kul is translated as “Hot Lake”. There are different and incredible touristic areas, such as Zheti Oguz, Broken Heart Mountain and Gregorievka gorge. There are various boarding houses, sanatoriums and hotels with the most modern conveniences. There are many activities that entertain people on the beach. Windsurfing, scooters, aqua parks, parachutes and rides on boats and ships. You may also go to Issik Kul in winter time as well. There are also spots of alpinism where people enjoy incredible landscapes.
Drive to Karakol.
In Cholpon-Ata visit open-air art gallery of stone, said to date from 500 BC – 100 AD, they depict wolves, long-horned ibex, goats, horses, snow leopards, sacrifices and some hunting scenes.
Arrival in Karakol. Visit the wooden Russian-orthodox church, Dungan mosque is one of the most famous places in Karakol town. The most interesting thing is that it is built without a single nail. More than 100 years ago there was a Chinese master who lived in this town. Dungans are people from china who had Muslim religion. The construction was made of bricks and wood. The wood sticks were curved in special way in order not to use any nails and to have a very stable building. The whole mosque is decorated with different ornaments made of wood.
Prezhevalsky-Museum. The museum of M.V. Prezhevalsky is situated not far from the Karakol town. The museum is devoted to the great explore of Central Asia - Nicolay Mikhailovich Prezhevalsky. He was one of the world's greatest explores and his biggest achievements were the crossing of the great desert Taklamakan and the discovery of more than 4000 animals, including the Horse of Prejevalsky.
M.V. Prezhevalsky died in Karakol town because of a fatal disease. And his last wish was to be buried on the Shore of Issyk Kul Lake. He said that it was the most beautiful place that he had seen in his life.
Overnight in Karakol.
Karakol - Jety - Oguz gorge
In the morning drive to Jety-Oguz gorge or 'Seven Bulls' which welcomes its guests near the river at the altitude of 2200m. It is located on the Northern slope of the Terskey Ala-Too range. The unique mountain formation, seven red peaks, resembling outraged bulls, gave birth to numerous local legends. Not far up the valley is the Jety Oguz sanatoria. There are often yurts here which can offer accommodation.
Then picnic. Today you can ride a horse or have some hiking enjoying fresh air and beauty of the place.
Overnight in a yurt camp.
Breakfast. After breakfast start driving to Tamga. Military Health resort "Tamga", located in the same village on the southern shore of Issyk-kul. Today the resort acts as the agency of the Ministry of Defense of Kyrgyzstan, but all comers can live in it.
On the way visit to Barskoon gorge. One of the most beautiful gorges valley of Kyrgyzstan Barskoon located on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. One of the most beautiful and exciting spectacle presented grandiose waterfalls, which are located in a picturesque forest area. State monument of nature is a waterfall, "Tears"of Bars". In Barskoon gorge you will have a chance to hike up the waterfall.
Afternoon is free to relax. You can also have a walk to the shore of Issyk Kul lake and spend some time there. Overnight in a guest house.
Transfer to the airport, departure. The end of the tour.
