Turkmenistan Classics: 11 days

Flight to Ashgabat.
Early morning arrival at Ashgabat International Airport
Migration formalities (  PCR/ visa/passport control usually take 1.5 - 4 hr).
Please come out of the terminal; the driver is meeting with the signboard "ANUR TOUR" at the meeting zone. 
Transfer to the hotel.  Extra night.

Breakfast in the hotel.
Meet with your guide & driver at the hotel's lobby and start the excursion in Ashgabat:
- Ertogrul Gazy Mosque,
- Independence Park with Monument of Independence (it's a 118 m column that is considered the highest building in the country),
Visiting  the National Museum, where you can see more than 166 unique expositions from Ancient Merv and Nisa. 
- Neutrality Arch - a unique composition that rotates slowly after the sun.
- The Turkmenbashi Mosque is the largest mosque in Central Asia (it can accommodate up to 10,000 people).

Transfer to the hotel.

09:00 Meet with your guide & driver at the hotel's lobby and continue the excursion in Ashgabat:
- Ancient Nissa (18km from Ashgabat), UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the ruins of the ancient city (the date of foundation is 1st millennium BC - I millennium BC).
-Carpet Museum
Afternoon transfer to the Darvaza crater and change from the asphalt road to the Karakum Desert track ( off-road).
In 1971, geologists accidentally found an underground cavern filled with natural gas. To avoid poisonous gas discharge, it was decided to burn the gas. Geologists hoped the fire would go out in a few days, but it has been burning ever since. Locals have named the cavern The Gate - Darvaza. The views are impressive, especially at sunset and night, when the mild sunlight and burning crater evoke incredible and ambiguous feelings. 
Camp-style dinner and overnight stay in yurts.

In the morning, transfer to Kunya-Urgench. 
Start sightseeing tour with visiting: the founder mausoleum of Sufi sects:
- The mausoleum of Mongolian princess Torebeg-Hanym (XII-XIV centuries);
- Minaret Kutlug-Timur (XII-XIV c, the highest minaret in Central Asia - 67m height);
- Mausoleum Arslan II (the oldest building in the city - date of its bookmark is roughly estimated by the XI century).
-Mausoleum Tekesh, Caravansaray gateway and etc.

15:00 Transfer to the Dashoguz airport
17:40 Flight from Dashoguz to Ashgabat
18:40 Arrival in Ashgabat

Transfer to Mary via visit of Anau Ruins Mosque on the way.
Arrival in Mary
Ancient city of Merv (UNESCO), discover historical park with:
 Sultan Sanjar Mausoleum,
Large and Small Gyz Gala,
 Erk Gala, Gyaur Gala,
Keshk Fortresses,
Muhammed ibn Zaid mausoleum and others. Return to Mary, visits History Museum of Mary region, Russian orthodox church and Gurbanguly Haji Mosque.
Transfer to the hotel,
Resting time in the evening.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

09:00 Meet with your driver at the hotel's lobby
Transfer to Gonur depe (Bronze Age – UNESCO).
Picnic lunch on the way. Discover the excavations of the ancient Margush country capital
– Gonur, which consists of:
the Palace of the city,
Fire and Water Temples,
Royal Necropolis.
Return to Mary.
Then drive to the hotel in Turkmenabat.

09:00 Meet with your driver and guide at the hotel's lobby
Transfer to Koytendag (480 km, 7 hours). Through the Lebap region, passing across the phantom bridge of the Amu Darya (Oxus) river, on the way stop to see Astan Baba and Almaberder mausoleums.
Picnic lunch on the way.
Late in the afternoon, arrive in the Kuguitang mountains region and at the tourist lodge in Koytendag.
Dinner and overnight at base lodge.

09:00 Meet with your driver and guide
Start a discover Kugitang region with visits of the Dinosaur Plateau, the Umbar Dere Gorge and the Kyrk Gyz pilgrim cave. Picnic lunch on the way. Return to base lodge.

Koyten-Kerki - Ashgabat - Turkmenbashi
Breakfast
Transfer to Kerki via a visit on the route Kaynar Baba lake (having the hydrogen sulphide spring with a holy fish which can be seen in the lake).
Picnic lunch on the way.
Arrival in Kerki.
Transfer to the airport in Kerki
13:00 flight from Kerki to Ashgabat (ETD 1300h. ETA 1400h.). 14:00 arrival and visit to the Ahalteke horse stables.

Transfer to the Railway station for the night train
Depart 17:50 to Turkmenbashi, by train # 606.
Dinner on the train.

Turkmenbashi-Yangikala-Balkanabat
At 08:15, arrival in Turkmenbashi.
Transfer to café for breakfast.
After breakfast, visit the old town area,
Russian Orthodox church and Fish bazaar.
Transfer to Yangikala Canyons.
Picnic lunch on the way.
Explore the canyon area by jeep and on foot.
Continue drive to Gozli Ata, explore the pilgrim site.
Transfer to the hotel in Balkanabat
Overnight

Balkanabat-Nohur-Kov Ata-Ashgabat
Breakfast at the hotel
09:00 Meet with your driver
Transfer to the Nohur village in Kopetdag Mountains, explore Nohur with visits to the tribal cemetery, big tree, and Gyz Bibi Mausoleum. Picnic lunch.
After lunch continue drive to Ashgabat via visits Kov Ata underground lake (opportunely to swim, Water temperature from +33 to +38 °C all year round), Geokdepe mosque (Saparmurat Haji Mosque) and Chuli Gorge on the way.
Arrival in Ashgabat
Transfer to the hotel, overnight.
